Being real

There is something about sharing how we are really feeling which can make a big difference to our mood, sense of worth and general well being. In the rush of every day life, the often asked question ” How are you” although meant kindly, doesnt usually expect an answer and doesnt usually get one that is congruent with how the person is who has been asked.

At their best, chapter meetings for clergy have at least some time for real and honest sharing – and it really can make a diffeerence to how those present feel.

So, thanks to the memebrs  of St Neots Deanery Chapter for their sharing today. I wonder how often we create situations on a Sunday for real sharing to take place  in church – or maybe that is something better done in smaller groups?  – or one to one?
