What in earth am I? – see June 3rd for exciting update!!

Here a picture of a splendid tall plant that has grown to c 7 ‘ and is sporting a huge number of little white flowers that are sweetly scented. Any ideas what it is?

My favourite plant of the day – tree lupin- given to me by our Lay Reader, Barbara Evans, who moved to the south coast this Easter.

    your white extremely flowery plant is “Crambe Cordifolia” its a perrennial plant and can be grown for its decorative effect in the flower garden OR in the vegetable garden known as Swiss Chard, the thick mid-ribs of the plant being cooked and eaten (popular in Victorain times;….I am told.
    Can we send photos to you??? We have some good ones of our Pentecost Praise service on Sunday it was such a JOYOUS service. Taken completely by the Lay team here at Wimbotsham, we even had Pentecost Birthdat Cake to finish the service…..bliss.

    • Thanks for that – have done a new June 3rd post on Cordifloria – am very grateful for your identification- though Im not sure it is also called Swiss Chard….
