What would you call a group of church wardens? – update

Ref: post on June 18th…. we now have, in answer to this playful question the following suggestions:

a ” wand”, a ” cackle” , a ” disillusionment” , a ” faculty” , a  ” cluster”, a ” squall”

a ” crypt” , a ” burse” ( we’ll draw a veil over that one!) – anyone for any more?

and now a ” worshipful company of ” – and a ” staff” of church wardens

  3. Some say a staff of wardens, others ruefully suggest a worry of wardens. Worshipful company of Wardens always appealed to me when I was an archdeacon (to be included in the Te Deum on the Sunday nearest their Admission).

  4. I like it;

    ‘The Disreputable Company of Wardens Praaaaaaaise Thee.’

    or even better…

    ‘The Diruptible Company of Wardens Praaaaaaaaise Thee.’
