Surely this couldnt be Sven himself ????  We know he is looking for work at present but… read on….

The sun shone, the people came out in their hundreds ( well, we had well over a hundred visitors) the plants were at their best for the Open Gardens Day organised by folk from St James  Church, but so well supported by the whole village. 16 gardens were open of all  sizes and designs. The first gardens to open at 11.00am had visitors waiting keenly to come in and a steady stream of horticultural fans stayed  in the village till  5pm when we had a splendid Songs of Praise in the Vicarage Gardens.

So-  let’s have some photos  – and  sorry that I was only in my garden all day and couldnt take photos of other people’s hard work.

  2. Eric, his mum and I had a great day – thanks to all those who opened their gardens, and provided refreshments and conversation. We were just sorry that we didn’t manage to get round all the gardens!

  3. Hi Annette
Thank you for your hospitality this week-end. So glad you had such a successful open garden event and sorry we had to leave early due to the long journey and work on Monday.
