Ely’s Nave and a perfect service

ely nave

Just how were these massive cathedral’s built? Ely’s nave always leaves me stunned  and always will. All power to the folk who are organising the youth event ” Rave in the Nave” on July 10th :

the place will resound with the sounds of energetic young life exploring and celebrating faith.  I think the cathedral sets the example for our parish churches – clear the naves of pews and make the space completely flexible….( think Ive said that on here before!)

Meanwhile, having missed Andy Murray’s opening match this evening at Wimbledon, its good to see that he won through to the second round – but I think its going to be Federer’s year…his serving is ace yet again!

Thinking back, I had a most peculiar  way of playing tennis when I was at secondaray school. It consisted of offering opponents an annoying series of high lobs which after a while seemed to make people loose their concentration – very effective if not graceful.

Not sure about Federer’s court dress though this year..  golden bag included!
