A Monday wedding with a difference and an update

Good Morning blog readers – hope the sun is shining where you are. Its a lovely sunny day at Little Paxton with a light breeze – just right for a wedding we have at noon.  Apart from its rather unusual day – it also maybe boasts a first – certainly at St James. The bride will be given away by her mother and in her bridal party will be her grown-up daughter and grandchildren – this making four generations coming down the aisle- I think that is rather special – certainly Great -grandma is very excited about the day.  The floral theme is sweet peas although it has proved rather hard to find fresh sweet peas from the florists.

Here is my one sweet-pea on my sweet pea bush – and I just might cut it off and pin it onto my alb for Katherine and Martin. How sweet is that??!

And now the wedding has taken place and everyone seemed very happy indeed.

There were indeed four generations of girls walking down the aisle and here is a photo of them all in their pretty pink:

And just to prove I do some work occasionally, here is the picture plus one:

They all all enjoying the wedding breakfast now and as with every couple I am privileged to marry, I wish them every happiness in all the years to come.
