Quiet, reflective services for Christmas in the St Neots area.

Asa well as the usual carol services being held this year in our churches, there are three opportunities that I have become aware of  to benefit from quieter more reflective worship as we approach Christmas.

The first is at Gamlingay Church on Monday December 12th 2011.

“I am the light of the world”

(John 8 v 12)

 Timetable for the day:

9.30am – Morning Prayers

12.30pm – Shared bread and wine

4.30pm – Evening Prayers

7.30pm – Night Prayers

This will be an opportunity for those who wish to spend time in quiet reflection in the lead-up to Christmas. We are fortunate to have, on loan in church, the result of a community project where 12 local artists painted 18 individual canvases which make up the painting by Holman Hunt “The Light of the World”. This will be our focus for the day.

Please feel free to come and go as you wish. The day will conclude after Night Prayers.

Tea and coffee will be available in church and  the church hall will be open.

“Listen! I am standing and knocking at your door. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will eat together” (Revelation 3 v 20)
