Recognise these anyone?
Good Morning – its another Sunday! Had to change the title of this blog entry due to freakish numbers of views having called it ” Can’t resist these chaps!”
Hopefully the above is a bit more tame!!!
Anyone know where they come from????
Bit blurred – but I was so overcome to see them my hand shook
People and flowers and Francis Drake
As I’m too tired due to mega service preparation to write anything erudite tonight, here are some people and flower pictures:
Three of the best – Ray, Graham and Val outside Holy Trinity Church this morning after a mega clean out of the remaining, er, old stuff lurking in the vestry and other places we wont mention. We thought work was starting on our Living Water Porject on Monday, but our contractor Glenn has a bad cold and Ive told him to stay awya till Wednesday and keep his germs in Leicestershire. Val says it isnt a ” Man at Work” sign – its a ” Man opening umbrela sign”. Im not sure….
And as for these chaps..
Shocking graphic detail….. bat poo on our nice new tiled floor in the chancel. How dare they??
And now..
Nicotiana – gorgeous pink colours but no way I can blog a scent – shame as it’s heavenly.
my little pots on the patio which always greet me in the morning.
sort of sunflowers only smaller heads.
Adore flowers- thats why ive got lots of them.
And to finish with..
Disturb us, Lord, when we are too well pleased with ourselves, when our dreams have come true because we have dreamed too little, when we arrive safely because we have sailed too close to the shore.
Disturb us, Lord, when with the abundance of things we possess, we have lost our thirst for the waters of life; having fallen in love with life, we have ceased to dream of eternity; and in our efforts to build a new earth, we have allowed our vision of the new Heaven to dim.
Disturb us, Lord, to dare more boldly, to venture on wider seas where storms will show your mastery; where losing sight of land, we shall find the stars. We ask you to push back the horizons of our hopes; and to push into the future in strength, courage, hope, and love.
This we ask in the name of our sure captain, Jesus the Christ. AMEN.
Not sure how I got to Francis Drake from Bat Poo – but life’s like that!
Hope you all have a good sunday…
