Poem in a walled garden

warm, opportunist breezes

partner regimented herbs

coaxing them to life

to sway…. wherever.

walled garden

defined, nurtured space

green paint-faded

brick embedded door

rose arched

free entry for all

who peer behind its secrets.

gravel paths crunch my steps

to hot house giants

abnormal normal spikey shapes

proud to be…. whoever

orange silky sultry fish deep in pools

fed by tumbling waters

keep company with geranium rows

hand reared

bound for suburbias?

Boundaried space

walls whisper distant tales

of gardeners  past, present and to come

all summoned by the One

who knows

who sows…..whenever
